Ancient Media - Child Safety & Anti-CSAE/CSAM Standards

At Ancient Media, we are unwavering in our commitment to creating a safe and positive online environment for all our users, especially children. We have a zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in any form. This document outlines our comprehensive standards and proactive measures to prevent, detect, and respond to such abhorrent content and behavior on our platform.

1. Our Commitment & Zero-Tolerance Policy

   Ancient Media is dedicated to the protection of children from all forms of sexual abuse and exploitation. We strictly prohibit the creation, upload, sharing, viewing, or distribution of CSAM, and any activity that constitutes or facilitates CSAE on our platform. Any user found to be in violation of this policy will face immediate and severe consequences, including permanent account termination, removal of all posted contents (if need be) and reporting to law enforcement.

   We Define

   • Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): Any sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, including but not limited to, grooming, solicitation, sexual abuse, child trafficking, and sextortion involving minors.
   • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any material (images, videos, audio, text) that depicts or implies the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child.

2. Prohibited Content and Behavior

   The following actions and content are strictly prohibited on Ancient Media:

   • Production, distribution, or possession of CSAM: Any form of visual, audio, or textual content that depicts child sexual abuse or exploitation.

   • Child Grooming and Solicitation: Attempts to establish an inappropriate relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, or to solicit sexual acts from a minor.

   • Child Trafficking: Using our platform to facilitate or recruit for child sexual exploitation or human trafficking.

   • Sexualization of Minors: Any content that sexualizes children, implies sexual intent towards a minor, or depicts minors in sexually suggestive contexts.

   • Sharing of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of Minors with Malicious Intent: Disclosing a minor's private information in a way that could facilitate harm.

   • Live Streaming of Child Abuse: Real-time broadcasting of any activity that constitutes CSAE. Links to External CSAM/CSAE Content: Sharing URLs or other references to websites or platforms containing prohibited material.

3. Reporting Mechanisms

   We empower our users to be active participants in maintaining a safe environment. Ancient Media provides an easy, clear and accessible mechanisms for reporting suspected CSAE or CSAM:

   In-App Reporting:

   • Content Reporting: Users can report specific content (Example: A user can tap on the menu item for each post and select the Report option from the bottom modal sheet that appears) that they believe violates our child safety standards

   All in-app reports are directed to our dedicated moderation team for urgent review.

   External Reporting:

   • Concerns regarding child safety can also be reported via email to our dedicated child safety contact: [email protected] When reporting, please provide as much detail as possible, including usernames, screenshots, and specific timestamps if applicable, to help us investigate promptly.

   All in-app reports are directed to our dedicated moderation team for urgent review.

4. Detection, Moderation, and Enforcement

   Ancient Media employs a multi-layered approach to detect, prevent, and respond to CSAE/CSAM:

   • Human Moderation: A trained team of human moderators reviews flagged content and user reports around the clock. Our moderators are specifically trained to identify CSAM and grooming behaviors, and to handle sensitive material with care and diligence.

   • Rapid Response: Upon detection or credible report of CSAM/CSAE:

     • The offending content will be immediately removed.
     • The associated user account(s) will be permanently terminated without warning.
     • All relevant evidence (including IP addresses, device information, and communication logs) will be preserved for law enforcement.

5. Law Enforcement Reporting & Compliance

   Ancient Media is fully committed to cooperating with law enforcement agencies in the investigation and prosecution of CSAM and CSAE offenses.

   We comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws related to child protection. We promptly report all instances of confirmed CSAM and suspected CSAE activity to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States, or the relevant designated authority in other jurisdictions, in accordance with our legal obligations. We store and handle evidence in a manner that supports effective investigations by legal authorities.
